What is Scalerator NEO?

Northeast Ohio has a long history of nurturing high-growth, entrepreneurial companies who have changed our world and strengthened our communities. Scalerator NEO started a new chapter in that history in 2017 when it welcomed its inaugural class of highly-motivated, ambitious entrepreneurs eager to learn from world-class faculty about how to inject immediate top line and bottom line growth into their companies.

The Scalerator NEO curriculum is taught by a team of faculty primarily from Babson College, ranked as the nation’s top provider of entrepreneurship education. Dozens of companies across the world have used the Scalerator curriculum to accelerate growth. One-page overview.

Scalerator NEO is for companies with roughly $3M to $15M in annual revenue with the potential to scale their business. Companies from all sectors will benefit from the six-month, seven-workshop curriculum, and each meeting is a working sessions where the President/CEO is expected to come to with his/her leaders to work on specific aspects of the business (i.e. HR, Sales, Finance). In between sessions, there are peer-to-peer gatherings for Presidents/CEOs to work on homework assignments.  Finally, there are one-on-one mentoring meetings between the instructors and each President/CEO.  The President/CEO must also have an ownership stake in the company or the owner must also participate.

Scalerator NEO is supported by the Burton D. Morgan Foundation and Richard J. Fasenmyer Fund and the Burton D. Morgan Foundation, as the Foundation is committed to supporting entrepreneurship and free enterprise in our region.

A Selection Committee made up of successful Northeast Ohio entrepreneurs and the Scalerator faculty will review all applicants, interview eligible candidates and select participating companies for each cohort.

The application process is being coordinated by the staff of EDGE, a nonprofit economic development organization that helps grow mid-sized companies in Northeast Ohio.
